The Dutch government agency in charge of the WBSO, the ‘Netherlands Enterprise Agency’ (RVO), conducts WBSO audits throughout the year. During these visits they will examine your compliance with all WBSO rules and regulations. RVO may conduct an audit on any of the previous five (5) years. Can issue reprimands and fines. And also can retroactively correct an earlier approved application.

What does a pre-audit look like?

RenDit conducts an independant audit and follows the exact same steps and procedures an RVO auditor would. The registration of both R&D activities and hours is closely examined and cross-checked against the application. Checking the soundness and plausibility of the approved R&D work. Investigating if the applied for costs and investments are trully attributable to the granted R&D project(s).

After the pre-audit you will receive a detailed report of all results, specific problem areas, their solutions, and other tips. If your R&D registration is overly complex or burdensome we will offer clear advise how to simplify yet remain compliant. Leaving you fully prepared and minimising the chances of corrections and fines, while also laying a solid foundation for a possible Innovation Box.
